Approximately 700 distinguished guests assembled to witness the Cartier Women's Initiative's prestigious award ceremony. This significant event saw the luxury powerhouse honor 30 exceptional female impact entrepreneurs, collectively bestowing upon them grants totaling an impressive $1.9 million. These grants are specifically designed to bolster women-led and women-owned enterprises globally, focusing on those dedicated to generating substantial and lasting social or environmental benefits. Since its inception in 2006, the initiative has channeled an astounding $16 million in financial aid to 360 entrepreneurs spanning 67 nations. A highlight of the evening was the presence of Amal Clooney, who gracefully presented the top accolades and delivered an inspiring address, further elevating the stature of the occasion.

Cyrille Vigneron, Cartier's chair of culture and philanthropy, shared his perspectives from the 35th floor of the Dusit Thani hotel, with Bangkok's sprawling urban landscape as a dramatic backdrop. Moreover, Cartier's Thai team had previously collaborated with Chulalongkorn University on a successful female entrepreneurship program, underscoring a strong local foundation for such initiatives. Taga-Witkin also noted the city's remarkable transformation, marked by a surge in luxury retail and hospitality developments, projecting Thailand's personal luxury goods market to reach $3.55 billion by 2029.
